How to become a member
Swords Lawn Tennis Club, formed in 1985, is situated in the grounds of Swords Castle park, probably the most picturesque venue in Dublin. It is home to 6 recently laid tiger turf & floodlight courts.
SLTC is a small but very welcoming club, and our membership is growing year on year. We are the perfect club for players of all levels, so if tennis is something you've thought about trying, why not come down and hire a court and if the bug bites, maybe think about joining the club on a full time basis.
Currently both our ladies and gents are competing in the Dublin Lawn Tennis Council league, luckily with a little bit of success in recent years. We also play in the Fingal League which caters for beginners and non league players. We also have a very active junior section and 4 coaches affiliated to Tennis Ireland who do their best to find our inner Andy Murrays & Simona Haleps.
With a steady stream of ladies nights, mens nights, mixed nights, bbq tournaments, social nights and club championships, there's always something going on in Swords Tennis Club.
We are very much a multinational club, currently with members from 14 different nationalities (15 if you include Ireland) and one from Galway, and though our two current club champions are Irish and our foreign raiders are being held at bay for the moment, I'm not too sure for how long!!
